About the Role 

We are looking for a data-driven and strategically minded individual to drive strategic action in our Operations organization. In this role, you will partner directly with senior leadership - including the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Chief Operations Officer - to create board-quality presentations which drive insights and operational improvements across the value chain. This role will gain broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s operations, including store operations, DC operations, logistics/distribution, automation, and more. You will serve as a key thought partner in a dynamic and growing retail environment, translating data into actionable strategy and influencing decisions at the highest levels of the organization. 

What You Will Do 

Strategic Problem Solving & Analysis 

  • Identify operational challenges and opportunities across the value chain, using a structured problem-solving approach grounded in data. 

  • Conduct root cause analyses and translate findings into business implications with financial and operational rigor. 

  • Work closely with business partners throughout the organization to scope, refine, and analyze datasets—focusing on insights that drive meaningful action.  

Executive-Ready Communication 

  • Synthesize complex data and operational insights into polished, concise presentations tailored for senior executives. 

  • Build compelling narratives that influence strategic decisions—telling the story behind the numbers. 

  • Lead content development for senior leadership meetings. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Manage workstreams across high-priority initiatives, coordinating with partners in field operations, supply chain, merchandising, and finance. 

  • Track and manage key deliverables from senior operations meetings and field visits—ensuring follow-through and clarity of ownership. 

  • Curate and develop internal communications highlighting operational milestones, best practices, and team achievements. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting, technology, or operations at a top-tier firm or Fortune 500 company 

  • Strong analytical horsepower with fluency in Excel (SQL a plus); comfort working with ambiguous, fast-moving problems. 

  • A natural storyteller who can distill complex analysis into crisp narratives and polished PowerPoint materials. 

  • A self-starter with strong executive presence, project management skills, and a bias toward action. 

  • Thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. 

  • Hybrid position with 3-days per week in the Marlborough corporate office.  

  • Occasional travel required. 

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $76,000.00.
