Join us as a Senior Operational Risk Analyst!
Brown Brothers Harriman’s Operational Risk Management group manages several Firm-wide risk oversight programs, and we are recruiting an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join the team to supporting two core Ops Risk programs.
The Senior Operational Risk Analyst will support ongoing daily requirements of Records Management Program and be part of a project team currently implementing a new Records Management Platform. This initiative covers all aspects of the platform implementation including re-designing related processes.
The Senior Operational Risk Analyst will also support Operational Risk Program activities including risk reporting, processing control standards, etc. Additional work in these areas is expected after implementation of the new Records Management Platform.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work on a variety of activities simultaneously and be able to work effectively across levels, functions, and locations, and in close coordination with their ERM and Systems colleagues, as well as other control functions.
Your key responsibilities will center around the Firm’s Records Management program:
Records Management
- Supporting ongoing program activities including records retention schedules updates, records destruction, etc.
- Providing guidance on program requirements to business areas
- Working with Legal and Compliance functions to update retention requirements based on law and regulation updates
- Defining new program requirements; retention schedule format and content (record indexing, etc.); user workflow; maintenance of laws & regulations
- UAT testing of the new application
- Developing and supporting the migration plan for conversion from the existing platform
- Supporting business areas during the conversion process
General Operational Risk
- Supporting functions within the Operational Risk such as Data Protection
- Creating and maintaining firm-wide risk reporting
- Supporting efforts to drive operational control processing standards across the Firm
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree required
- 4-6+ years of relevant work experience in records management and/or financial services required
- Project experience a plus
- Experience driving process improvement
- Solid technical skills with advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including balancing ongoing responsibilities with project work
- Strong interpersonal, relationship, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills
This role is based in our Boston location and is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week in office.
