NetBox Labs is seeking a Sr Manager to build out its People team with 5+ years of experience. Reporting into the VP of People and Finance, you will build the foundation of HR administration, manage employee relations and engagement, and strengthen a performance-driven culture for a high growth startup.

In this role you will:

  • Own people operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee handbooks, benefits, and payroll coordination

  • Build policies to ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations for a globally distributed workforce

  • Partner and act as a trusted advisor to managers to connect business goals and challenges with HR strategies and solutions

  • Liaise and provide expertise on employee issues and workplace concerns

  • Develop programs to drive employee experience, engagement, performance management, and leadership development

  • Champion our values and employer brand

  • Implement and own HR system(s), data, and analytics

  • Build career ladder frameworks to support scaling teams

  • Lead strategic people initiatives to drive constant improvement

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years working in a fast paced, early to mid stage (<200 employees) startup environment

  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and core HR processes

  • Familiarity with analytical tools and HR systems of record

  • Experience managing global workforces, especially in the US, UK, and Canada

  • Ability to connect and balance our people operations and strategy with business outcomes and strategic goals

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, which are critical to keep up with a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build trust with and influence more senior business leaders

  • Creativity, flexibility, and empathy, which are critical to positive employee experience

  • Motivation to get things done while multitasking multiple projects
