Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of PJM's critical network infrastructure components used to support PJM's mission critical applications along with back-office systems. Network administrator will support multiple network systems, including routers, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, switches and load balancers.
Essential Functions:
- Provide real-time management of the company’s Network infrastructure
- Support problem identification and resolution activities for mission critical applications and network services
- Manage Cisco router and switch devices and configuration running IOS, NxOS and ACI
- Manage Aruba wireless network infrastructure
- Manage and update Checkpoint and Cisco firewall rules
- Manage F5 Load Balancer infrastructure
- Manage Network Infrastructure services and associated infrastructure for services including DNS, NTP, client VPN, and IPAM
- Manage site-to-site VPN tunnels
- Utilize IAC tools such as terraform, git, and CI/CD to deploy cloud network resources
- Manage and support Azure and AWS cloud network resources
- Ensure compliance and security of all key network components
- Manage and execute Operations and Maintenance activities for all key infrastructure components
- Provide maintenance and oversight for various network segments, including Intranet, WAN, Internet and DMZ
- Provide periodic 7x24 on-call support
- Provide project management duties to oversee full project lifecycle, including design, implementation and budgeting for Networks system upgrades
Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 0-5 years of work experience
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience using verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
- Experience with F5 content switching and DNS products and TCP/IP
- Experience in network protocols, including detailed packet analysis, and intermediate understanding of firewalls, routers, IDS, and IPS
- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Upon Hire
Preferred:
- MBA, Business Administration
- At least 5 years of experience
- Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
- Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
