The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorganChase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.
High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.

Job responsibilities
- Guides the evaluation of current cybersecurity principals, processes, and controls, and leads the evaluation of new technology using existing standards and frameworks.
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors .
- Creating and propagating (developing ) security design patterns to support building consistent and secure technology solutions.
- Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments of products and features to identify and prioritize security risks.
- Work with architects and developers to design and implement secure code practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure security is embedded in the design.
- Knowledge of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends relevant to our products.
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Technical Knowledge in any domain such as network, operating systems, web applications, cloud, Databricks etc.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a product security role with a track record of driving security initiatives.
- Good knowledge of secure software development practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable, in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Cloud Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architecture Associate/Professional, AWS Security Specialty.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework) and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant certifications are a plus.
