How you will make an impact:As a Senior Financial Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you'll play an integral role in driving outstanding business results and outcomes. Your leadership within the Division FP&A team will ensure flawless business partnering with our distinct Business Units, Group, and Function leadership teams. By providing valuable decision support and identifying operational improvement opportunities, you will help us maintain our world-class standards and ambitious goals.
What you will do:- Lead AOP/STRAP reviews: Continuously engages and aligns with business partners to refine and update systems and presentation content.
- Drive Business Data Analytics: Apply complex data models and problem-solving skills to analyze financial and business performance. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on revenue, gross margin, OPEX, critical metrics, headcount, and Capital Spend.
- Coordinate with Division Leadership Team: Coordinate functional budgets and forecasts, managing ad hoc/project requests.
- Champion Understanding of Strategic Business Plans: Assess business performance and highlight relevant insights to track progress towards strategic goals.
- Craft High-Quality Presentations: Develop compelling presentations for the executive team and support various reporting processes.
- Maintain Data Governance: Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across CDD, including workforce, cost center management, and material mapping.
- Partner with Shared Services: Guarantee accurate and timely closing procedures.
- Provide Weekly Pulse Update: Support weekly updates with the Commercial Leadership and Division team regarding revenue, risk, and opportunities.
Education
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Business and Finance experience.
- Proven experience in leading through a matrix organization environment.
- Expertise in understanding and proactively presenting the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics.
- Strong academic credentials with a proficiency in financial analysis.
- Upbeat, personable, and highly ethical, growing in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent proactive communication skills, adept at identifying and addressing issues with business partners.
- Proven understanding of Hyperion, Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), and PowerPoint.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
- Minimal travel required.
