The Senior Financial Analyst will develop financial models, analyze financial data, manage corporate reporting, and assist in forecasting and performance metrics.

Summary
Smarsh is seeking a talented and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate FP&A function operating out of our Atlanta, Georgia COE. This role will be reporting to the Director of FP&A and partnering cross-functionally with other senior leaders at Smarsh. This is a person who can drive value, collaborate with others, and improve capacity of the team. A key participant in the creation of the company’s operating forecasts in addition to providing management with analytical tools and information to measure performance of Smarsh. This role will help contribute to Smarsh’s long-range plan, forecasting balance sheet and cashflow activities.
How will you contribute?
- Develop complex financial models and supporting analysis on strategic initiatives and performance scenarios
- Analyze balance sheet and cashflow activity and forecast changes in account balances
- Manage corporate reporting to ownership groups and establish partnerships with key stakeholders
- Assist in bottoms up forecasts and planning for the business using key performance indicators and drivers
- Provide analysis on complex financial information to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Complete account based budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analysis with commentary
- Work with large data sets to translate results into meaningful metrics and insights
- Present complex information and findings in an executive summary format to leaders
- Analyze and advise on workforce planning and vendor management expenses in partnership with G&A department leaders
- Other duties as assigned
What will you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- 5+ years of financial analysis experience
- Advanced Excel skills and experience such as: nested functions, sumifs, vlookup, pivot table creation and development, arrays, etc.
- Advanced understanding of GAAP and impact on financial forecasts
- Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Experience with reporting financial data to others both verbally and written
- Experience with management and analysis of large datasets
- Experience with complex financial models using either Excel, ERPs, Power BI, Tableau or Planning Tools
- Experience with financial due diligence reporting
- Experience with a SaaS business preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, Workday Adaptive Planning, NetSuite or similar platforms preferred
