The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the reporting and analytics related to business unit expenses. This role involves contributing to standard management reporting and encompasses responsibilities in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analyses aimed at supporting the business unit expense. Development and implementation of analytical standards for reporting and modeling key performance indicators (KPIs) are crucial aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Leverage financial systems to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial presentations to business leaders, including executives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models used to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business partners and finance teams to improve the accuracy of financial forecasts.
  • Build partnerships across multiple levels of the organization to facilitate effective financial planning and communication.
  • Support the annual planning process, including target development, budget creation, and data loading and reconciliation.
  • Handle ad-hoc analytics, projects, and requests as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum Requirements/Business Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements.
  • Experience in generating management reports and Opex budgeting/forecasting.
  • Familiarity with FP&A systems such as BPC and SAP is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A mindset geared toward process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with businesses across different geographies.
  • Capability to evaluate complex business problems, develop solutions, and present findings persuasively to management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with regular interaction with senior executives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$79,600 - $132,600
