Role OverviewWe are seeking a Sr. Director of Product Marketing to lead strategy and execution for PSA’s Marketplace business.
This role owns how marketplace products and experiences are positioned, brought to market, and scaled—driving awareness, consideration, acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization, with direct impact on marketplace growth and GMV. The Sr. Director serves as the connective layer across Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and external partners to ensure a cohesive, high-performing marketplace experience.
This leader operates at both strategic and executional altitude—shaping the roadmap through market insight while driving disciplined go-to-market and lifecycle performance grounded in marketplace economics and aligned with EBITDA and long-term value creation. The role is critical to establishing Marketplace as a scaled, durable growth engine for the company.
What You'll DoProduct Marketing & Go-to-Market
Own end-to-end product marketing strategy across PSA Marketplace, including Vault, Partner Offers, PSA Store on eBay, and strategic partner programs
Lead go-to-market planning for new products, features, and marketplace expansions
Define and formalize target segments and audience frameworks, and drive awareness, consideration, acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization strategies
Drive integrated campaign strategy across digital, CRM, partnerships, events, and social channels to build awareness, consideration, and conversion
Marketplace Strategy, Supply & Product Influence
Translate market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive insights into marketplace strategy and GTM priorities
Lead the development and formalization of audience segmentation and frameworks, translating customer insights into clear growth opportunities, product priorities, and lifecycle strategies
Partner with Product and Business leaders to inform roadmap prioritization and focus on highest-impact growth opportunities
Drive supply growth by shaping seller acquisition, onboarding, and inventory expansion strategies across dealers, partners, and collectors
Shape pricing, incentives, and marketplace mechanics to optimize liquidity, supply-demand balance, and transaction velocity
Ensure alignment between product experience, GTM strategy, and business objectives across the full funnel
Customer Experience (CX)
Champion the end-to-end marketplace experience across buying, selling, vaulting, and post-transaction engagement
Identify friction points across the funnel and partner cross-functionally to improve conversion, trust, transparency, and retention
Partner to improve seller and dealer experience, including onboarding, listing, pricing, and transaction workflows
Performance, Economics & Measurement
Establish and manage full-funnel KPIs across awareness, consideration, acquisition, conversion, retention, and LTV
Apply a lifecycle and lifetime value lens to prioritize initiatives and balance growth with marketplace economics and profitability
Drive continuous optimization through testing, experimentation, and performance insights
Partner with Finance and Analytics to ensure marketing investment is disciplined, measurable, and aligned with EBITDA objectives and business priorities
Partnerships & Ecosystem Growth
Lead strategic GTM for key marketplace partnerships, including eBay and GameStop
Identify and develop new partnerships that expand distribution, supply, and demand
Partner with Communications on creator and influencer engagement tied to marketplace growth
Leadership & Collaboration
Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team focused on Marketplace
Serve as the primary marketing partner to Marketplace Product and Business leadership
Partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Product, Operations, Sales, Legal, Finance, and Communications
Partner with Grading Product Marketing to ensure marketplace and grading strategies are aligned and mutually reinforcing
Elevate organizational understanding of marketplace dynamics, customer behavior, and growth levers
15+ years of experience in product marketing, growth, marketplace, or category leadership roles
8–10+ years of people management experience, building and leading high-performing teams
Deep experience in marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, or two-sided platform environments
Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, lifetime value, and marketplace economics
Proven track record of scaling products or platforms across awareness, acquisition, engagement, and monetization
Experience influencing product strategy and roadmap prioritization in complex organizations
Data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into action and drive measurable outcomes
Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-scaling environments
Exposure to high-growth, late-stage, or IPO-adjacent environments preferred
Willingness to travel up to ~20%
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
The salary range for this position is $197,217 – $314,146. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
