The Job:  

As a Sr Director of Procurement Operations SEF you’ll be part of our GSM Procurement Operations team as a remote employee. You will play a critical role in ensuring that a group of plants have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. You will be responsible for managing spend, partnering with internal stakeholders, managing relationships with suppliers, mitigating risks, reducing lead times, ensuring on-time delivery of parts, improving supplier quality, implementing cost reduction ideas, and supporting supplier development. Acting as a business partner with our operations team, you will provide strategic insight and advice on procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost management. You’ll get to:  

• Ensure on-time delivery of parts from suppliers, maintaining a strong focus on supplier performance and delivery metrics. Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while maintaining positive and productive relationships.

• Manage spend across the organization, ensuring adherence to budgets and achieving cost reduction targets.

• Partner with internal stakeholders, such as operations, engineering, and finance, to understand their needs and provide effective procurement solutions.

• Execute sourcing strategies at the plants level, leveraging market knowledge and supplier relationships to achieve optimal results.

• Identify and implement cost reduction ideas to improve company profitability and maintain a competitive advantage.

• Support supplier development through training, mentoring, and collaboration to improve supplier performance and quality.

• Act as a business partner with the operations team, providing insight and advice on procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost management.

• Manage inventory levels for purchased components, ensuring that levels are optimized to reduce risk and working capital.

• Reduce supplier lead times by developing effective communication channels and process improvements

• Lead and develop a global organization of procurement professionals.

The Person:

• Bachelor’s degree required - Engineering Degree highly preferred, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years strategic sourcing experience of which five must be in industrial in a global, multi-site manufacturing environment.

• Experience in multicultural negotiations, contracting and supplier management activities required.

• Experience in leading large, global complex supply management solution projects required.

• International travel experience required.
