Position Summary 

The Senior Director, TrackWise Manufacturing (TWM) & Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Portfolio Manager defines and executes the strategic vision, growth roadmap, and portfolio performance for Honeywell's digital manufacturing solutions serving regulated Life Sciences and advanced manufacturing markets. The role connects customer needs, market opportunities, technology innovation, and business outcomes across electronic batch records, manufacturing execution, quality, tech transfer, batch genealogy, production traceability, compliance, and digital manufacturing transformation. 

A core mandate is to create cross-business-unit growth by jointly positioning TrackWise Manufacturing and MES with Building Automation, Process Automation, facility automation, operational technology, advanced manufacturing, and optimization offerings. This leader will shape bundled value propositions, integrated solution architectures, and coordinated go-to-market motions that position Honeywell as an enterprise partner for smart manufacturing facilities and digitally optimized operations. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

Portfolio Strategy & Growth Leadership 

  • Define and execute the long-term portfolio strategy for TrackWise Manufacturing and MES solutions. 
  • Develop portfolio investment recommendations, growth initiatives, and strategic business cases. 
  • Drive portfolio lifecycle decisions including expansion, consolidation, modernization, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities. 
  • Align portfolio priorities with corporate growth objectives, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. 
  • Establish market leadership through differentiated value propositions and innovation roadmaps. 

Customer & Market Leadership 

  • Lead Voice of Customer programs to understand manufacturing, quality, compliance, and operational challenges. 
  • Engage directly with strategic customers, partners, analysts, and industry influencers. 
  • Translate customer insights into portfolio priorities and future solution strategies. 
  • Monitor competitive landscapes, market shifts, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting digital manufacturing. 

Product & Portfolio Management 

  • Oversee a portfolio of TrackWise Manufacturing and MES offerings spanning electronic batch records, master batch records, tech transfer, production workflow management, batch genealogy and traceability, device history records, compliance, and manufacturing data management. 
  • Drive portfolio rationalization and ensure alignment of investments to business outcomes. 
  • Partner with product managers and development teams to establish portfolio roadmaps, release priorities, and integrated customer experiences. 
  • Ensure portfolio solutions create a seamless end-to-end manufacturing experience across quality, production, compliance, and operations. 

Strategic Partnerships, Cross-Business Growth & Solution Integration 

  • Develop and execute cross-business-unit growth strategies that position TrackWise Manufacturing, Quality and MES as a critical component of Honeywell's end-to-end manufacturing transformation portfolio. 
  • Partner with Building Automation, Process Automation, Industrial Automation, Connected Life Sciences, Digital Prime, and other business units to identify and pursue joint growth opportunities in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and advanced manufacturing markets. 
  • Define and commercialize integrated solution offerings that combine manufacturing execution, quality management, process automation, facility automation, operational technology, industrial data platforms, energy management, and advanced analytics capabilities. 
  • Lead the creation of bundled offerings, value propositions, pricing constructs, packaging options, and go-to-market strategies for manufacturing facility automation, production optimization, digital plant, and smart factory solutions. 
  • Collaborate with business-unit leaders to establish joint roadmaps, solution architectures, sales plays, and investment priorities that support enterprise-wide manufacturing transformation initiatives and cross sell objectives. 
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives by leveraging the combined strengths of TrackWise Manufacturing, Building Automation systems, process automation platforms, industrial IoT, AI-enabled operations, advanced process control, and advanced manufacturing technologies. 
  • Develop executive-level customer engagement strategies that position Honeywell as a strategic partner capable of delivering manufacturing process automation and facility automation outcomes within a unified digital manufacturing framework. 
  • Act as the executive sponsor for strategic accounts requiring multi-business-unit solution development, Enterprise Co-Creation, bundled commercial positioning, and complex enterprise transformation programs. 

Commercial & Financial Performance 

  • Own portfolio revenue growth, recurring revenue expansion, profitability, and adoption metrics. 
  • Develop pricing, packaging, bundling, monetization, and commercial strategies across standalone and integrated offerings. 
  • Establish business performance metrics, portfolio scorecards, and operating reviews. 
  • Lead annual operating plans, growth forecasts, portfolio investment cases, and strategic planning inputs. 
  • Drive adoption and expansion opportunities within the installed customer base and across adjacent Honeywell accounts. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Partner with Engineering to align innovation strategy, solution architecture, and execution plans. 
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on positioning, messaging, launch strategies, demand generation, and customer engagement. 
  • Enable Sales and account teams with market insights, competitive differentiation, bundled-offering narratives, and executive-level portfolio stories. 
  • Support strategic customer pursuits that require cross-business solutioning and senior sponsor engagement. 
  • Coordinate across Quality, Manufacturing, AI, Compliance, Building Automation, Process Automation, and Life Sciences solution portfolios to create integrated offerings. 

People Leadership 

  • Build and develop a high-performing team of portfolio and offering managers. 
  • Establish clear accountability, operating rhythms, and performance expectations. 
  • Mentor future leaders and strengthen portfolio management capabilities across the organization. 
  • Foster a customer-centric, outcome-driven culture focused on innovation, enterprise collaboration, bundled solutions, and business growth. 

Qualifications

The annual base salary range for this position in California, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Washington State (excluding most major metropolitan areas); and anywhere in Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Vermont, and Virginia is <$226,000min - $282,000mid>.  For Washington DC, and most major metropolitan areas in California, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Washington State, the annual base salary range is <$260,000min - $324,000mid>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

You Must Have

  • 12+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, MES, manufacturing software, or Life Sciences technology. 
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing product, offering, portfolio, or cross-functional solution teams. 
  • Deep understanding of Life Sciences manufacturing processes and digital manufacturing technologies. 
  • Demonstrated experience with MES, EBR, batch execution, manufacturing workflows, or regulated production environments. 
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing portfolio economics, investment cases, growth strategy, and cross-sell motions. 
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead across a matrixed, multi-business organization. 

We Value

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline. 
  • Experience with TrackWise Manufacturing, TrackWise Quality, or similar Life Sciences software platforms. 
  • Knowledge of GMP, GxP, FDA, EMA, and global regulatory standards. 
  • Experience with SaaS business models, digital transformation programs, and industrial software commercialization. 
  • Experience packaging, pricing, and positioning bundled software, automation, and services offerings. 
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or Life Sciences. 
  • Experience leading global product or portfolio teams and executive customer engagements.
