Essential Functions:
- Draft high-quality, complex contracts, change orders and associated deliverables.
- Develop accurate complex budgets for contracts and change orders.
- Perform budget analysis.
- Understand contract terms and identify adjustments to financial terms as needed.
- Accountable for adherence to the contracts and change order processes and deliverables, working in collaboration with global operational teams as needed.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, as needed.
- Assist in training and support of lesser experienced team members.
- Perform senior level peer reviews and/or QC review providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Participate in client meetings, as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Creative thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to work efficiently with high attention to detail while meeting multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Clinical research and / or consulting knowledge.
- Proficient in budget and contract preparation.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications, including intermediate-to-advanced level proficiency with complex formulas and data analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to quickly shift priorities.
- Ability to work closely with and communicate effectively to all levels across the organization.
- Exhibits self-motivation and can work and plan independently as well as in a team environment.
Educational Requirements:
- 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a business, scientific or healthcare discipline.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the life sciences.
- Proposal, Contract, or Change Order development experience required.
- Experience creating and submitting budgets.
- Knowledge of industry standards relating to change orders and contracts including budgeting, document language, processes for creation and finalization, etc.
