As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead a team of engineers, ensuring successful project execution and high-quality solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet engineering support requirements.
You will report directly to our Sr. Engineer Manager, and you’ll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. New hire external employees will work onsite, in the office for the first 90 days and will then transition to a hybrid (3/2) schedule.
As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer in the Sensing Guidance and Navigation (SGN) Center of Excellence (COE), you will work in partnership to develop products that support aircraft navigation systems for defense, air transport, regional, business aviation, and general aviation. These market areas require a wide variety of navigation systems including inertial measurement units, inertial navigation systems, and aided inertial navigation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Orchestrate a diverse team to perform technical execution, technical risk management, requirements management for customer missionizations and new products development for Defense Navigation product line
- Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development including but not limited to test strategy and architecture development, test design and development.
- Manage program’s cost, schedule, work breakdown structure, work allocation, planning and coordination
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and their needs
- Provide technical support and expertise to Customer Business Managers and Technical Sales Director during pursuit of new business to ensure product offerings align with customer requirements
- Support proposal effort, including development of BOEs

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 6+ years of experience in design engineering or project leadership
- Ability to read, write and speak English
