At Zeelo, we’re on a mission to revolutionize how frontline workers commute by delivering reliable, sustainable, and scalable transportation solutions. We partner with global leaders like Amazon, Barclays, and UPS, and we’re expanding after a successful Series B raise. If you’re passionate about building solutions, working in a scaling organization, and seeing the direct impact of your work—this is your seat on the bus.
As Special Projects Manager, you will join our fast-moving leadership team to scope, analyze, and execute high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the future of Zeelo’s growth across the UK, US, and beyond. This is a 6-12 month contract opportunity to support specific initiatives.
What You’ll Do:- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead cross-functional projects that are critical to Zeelo’s growth — from exploring new business lines and expansion opportunities in the US market, to assessing potential M&A opportunities.
- Scope and Execute Projects End-to-End: Translate strategic ideas into actionable project plans, defining scope, timelines, success metrics, and execution paths. Work closely with teams across Commercial, Operations, Product, and Finance to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Conduct Deep Analysis: Build and own data-driven business cases and financial models to support investment decisions and operational scaling. Provide insight and recommendations that influence C-level decision-making.
- Think Commercially: Balance analytical rigour with commercial acumen, understanding not just what’s possible, but what’s viable and impactful for Zeelo’s business model.
- Support Leadership: Work directly with the CEO and Chief of Staff on high-priority projects, providing strategic input and operational follow-through.
- Analytical & Commercial Mindset: Strong analytical foundation (e.g. consulting, investment banking, strategy, or operations background) with the ability to think commercially and make sound business judgments.
- Execution & Ownership: A proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from idea to delivery, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strategic Curiosity: A self-starter who thrives on tackling ambiguous challenges, uncovering insights, and driving new initiatives to completion.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and translating complex data into clear recommendations.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to influence and work effectively across departments, including sales, operations, product, and finance.
- Experience: 1-4 years of professional experience in consulting, strategy, investment banking, business operations, or a high-growth startup.
- Experience in transportation, mobility, logistics, or startups.
