Job Summary

As a Solutions Sales Consultant , you will play a dual role:

  1. Lead technical discovery sessions to deeply understand client pain points and business goals
  2. Commercial driver who builds trust with prospects, shapes proposals, and closes deals.

You will be at the front lines with prospects and clients, acting as the connective tissue between our technical delivery teams and prospects & clients. You are someone who can whiteboard solutions, scope projects, handle objections, and bring deals across the finish line.

We’re looking for a gameshow host personality, A Consultant who thrives at the intersection of technical acumen and commercial drive. Your mission is to turn prospects into clients by serving as the technical face of ProCogia during the earliest stages of the relationship.

This role focuses heavily on prospect targeting, including joining sales leaders on calls, leading technical discoveries, framing problems, scoping for smart solutions, and ultimately helping close deals. You’ll ensure prospects experience both our expertise and our ability to deliver from day one.

Key ResponsibilitiesProspect Pre-Sales & Solutioning
  • Act as the technical lead in sales conversations — understanding client problems and shaping data, AI, or analytics solutions accordingly.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to deeply understand client pain points and business goals.
  • Build statements of work (SOWs), proposals, and proof-of-concept outlines in collaboration with sales and delivery leads.
  • Translate business goals into clear technical requirements and recommended architectures.
  • Diagnose root issues and match them with ProCogia’s offerings — including accelerators, AI solutions, and custom consulting models.
  • Build rapport with client stakeholders (technical and non-technical), creating confidence in ProCogia’s ability to deliver.
Solution Design & Deal Structuring
  • Translate client needs into detailed proposals, SOWs, and technical solution outlines.
  • Customize messaging to highlight ProCogia’s differentiated capabilities in data, AI/ML, privacy engineering, and modernization.
  • Support the sales process with artifacts, architecture diagrams, timelines, and proof-of-value plans.
  • Attending proposal presentations and responding to technical objections.
Transition & Early Delivery Oversight
  • Serve as a technical liaison to delivery teams' post-sale to ensure solution continuity.
  • Support project kickoff and handoff to the consulting team with full context.
  • Stay involved in early-stage execution to ensure expectations set in pre-sales are met or exceeded.
What You Bring
  • 4–7 years of experience in data, analytics, AI, or cloud consulting — including client-facing responsibilities.
  • Experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or as a technical consultant within a high-performing consulting or product-led team.
  • A background in client-facing roles (solution architect, sales engineer, delivery lead, etc.) with comfort presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to win trust with technical buyers and shape consulting solutions that align with real business needs.
  • Strong understanding of modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure, Python, R, SAS migrations, ML/AI tools).
  • Experience working with regulated industries (e.g., telecom, healthcare, financial services) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communicator who can speak both “executive” and “engineering” fluently.
  • A background in client-facing roles (solution architect, sales engineer, delivery lead, etc.) with comfort presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to bridge technical execution and business value, with a track record of influencing or closing consulting deals.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support client engagements and sales activities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that deliver measurable results.

If you are a technical consultant who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping client outcomes and closing strategic deals, we’d love to hear from you!

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
