The Business Development Manager, Private Equity & Infrastructure Funding, will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing partnerships with private equity firms and infrastructure funds to finance and accelerate the deployment of Nokia's broadband network solutions.  The Business Development Manager will work on commercial structures with the operating companies to maximize the value and long term success of the private equity investment. This role requires a deep understanding of the private equity investment landscape, strong financial acumen, and proven experience in complex deal origination and execution within the telecommunications or infrastructure sectors.
 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research private equity firms, infrastructure funds, and institutional investors with an interest in digital infrastructure and broadband network investments.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target private equity and infrastructure funds.
  • Build the “Why Nokia” story to demonstrate Nokia value to private equity firms
  • Proactively identify and qualify potential funding opportunities for Nokia's broadband network projects and solutions related to customer network deployments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, finance, legal, technical) to develop compelling investment proposals and financial models supporting the Fixed Networks business.
  • Lead negotiations with private equity partners to secure funding agreements, ensuring alignment with Nokia's strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrate commercial and operational models to maximize the PE firm’s return and potential exit strategies
  • Act as a subject matter expert on private equity funding trends and models, advising internal stakeholders on market dynamics and potential partnership structures.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline status, engagement activities, and successful deal closures to senior management.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity, with a focus on infrastructure or telecommunications.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully originating, structuring, and closing complex financial partnerships or transactions.
  • Deep understanding of private equity investment cycles, due diligence processes, and valuation methodologies.
  • Experience with fixed access, broadband, fiber, Wi-Fi, or related fixed network technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Nokia’s broadband network technologies (e.g., Fiber-to-the-Home, Wi-Fi, Software).
  • Existing network of contacts within the private equity or infrastructure investment community.
