What you will do

As a Software Sales Intern, you will support the sales efforts for SoftwareHouse, a Johnson Controls brand within the ACVS (Access Control & Video Surveillance) business. This role is focused on selling and renewing software support agreements, working primarily with existing customers and expiring agreements. The internship provides hands-on exposure to software sales, customer lifecycle management, and commercial operations within a global technology organization.

How you will do it

  • Support the sales process for software support agreements, including renewals and extensions

  • Assist with managing existing and expiring customer agreements, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up

  • Partner with internal sales and account teams to help drive customer retention

  • Learn and communicate the value of SoftwareHouse software solutions within the ACVS portfolio

  • Maintain accurate customer and agreement data in internal systems

  • Assist with sales reporting, pipeline tracking, and basic data analysis

  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities

  • Other sales support duties as assigned

Required qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Interest in software, technology, and sales

  • Comfortable working with data, systems, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications

  • Interest in B2B sales, software sales, or customer success

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a proactive mindset

  • Experience working in a team-based or customer-facing environment

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.00 - 24.00/hour
