Software Engineer

• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of high-quality, scalable solutions and services.

• Build systems with the long-term in mind, focusing on robust design, comprehensive testing, and sustainability at cost and scale.

• Own technical decisions throughout the process, working directly with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.

• Resolve critical bugs and customer support escalations to ensure a highly reliable product experience for our global user base.

• Collaborate actively with the engineering team, providing and receiving thoughtful feedback through rigorous code reviews.

• Master existing large-scale services while developing new, cutting-edge product features.

• You bring at least 3 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.

• Strong experience in software systems design and familiarity with foundational computer science concepts (algorithms, complexity, data structures).

• Proficiency in at least one of our core programming languages: Go, TypeScript, or Python.

• Experience in building highly reliable, scalable microservice back-ends, web UIs, CLIs, or infrastructure automation tools.

• Demonstrable skill in effective software testing and a strong commitment to code quality.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and respond with agility when requirements and priorities change.

• Have hands-on experience with AI/LLMs or modern security tooling.

• Are curious, have a strong growth mindset, and proactively seek to improve existing skills.

• Feed off complex technical problems and find solutions where others see roadblocks.

• Contribute to open-source or developer communities.

Annual Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 USD
Snyk is committed to equal pay for equal work and carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors. Actual compensation may vary based on prior experience, skills, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission and/or equity incentive awards.
