Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technology Architect, Java Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technology Architect, Java Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Technologies Including Java 11, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, React, Spring Data JPA, SOAP-based services, RESTful Services, GAIA, PCF, AWS, K8s, My Batis, Kafka, Oracle, Maven, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, Splunk, and Control-M. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Using CI/CD to operate in an environment with frequent production releases; Using Spring Batch applications to manage high volumes of financial data; Using Kafka and other event-based services to migrate legacy batch applications to new architecture and build interactive real-time systems; Cloud technologies including AWS and PCF to build the latest business initiatives and data management systems on the cloud; Utilizing Physical and cloud infrastructure on-premises and in the public cloud to find solutions for cost management, real-time data access, and analytics; Data manipulation, structuring, design, and query optimization using SQL; Designing and analyzing software systems to deliver efficient code to the business; Breaking down monoliths into microservice-based components to support the migration of legacy systems to new cloud-based architectures; Developing automation features for applications to maintain code quality and improving time to market; Using vulnerability management tools including Black Duck and Sonar to secure financial applications and protect customer data; Using both relational and non-relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
