DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Build AWS Components using terraform so that applications can be built and deployed in a consistent and dependable manner. Build and Deploy Applications on AWS using industry wide standards of test driven development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Build a fullstack User Interface via Microfrontend/Microservice based architectures for onboarding and managing data publishing, consumption and analytics on AWS Public Cloud. Build a high performance application using AWS Step Functions, Lambdas, API Gateway, ECS Fargate, NGINX, React, Python and Java that will be used by customers to move their big data assets from on-premises to AWS Public Cloud. Implement Unit testing and User Acceptance Testing automation to ensure application is operating correctly as features are introduced. Troubleshoot Operations Issues, Performance Issues, and Capacity Issues in the fullstack application built. Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting via SDLC process with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions that break down technical problems. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development standards. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Analyst, Product Developer, Systems Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Analyst, Product Developer, Systems Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with: Linux; Unix; Spring Boot; Big Data Disciplines; Microservices; Docker; Python; JavaScript; SQL; NoSQL; PySpark; AWS; Java; Advanced Algorithms; HQL (Hive Query Language); Oracle; Redshift; Databricks; Zeppelin; ETL; REST APIs that serve big data applications on AWS cloud, administrative commands such as moving files or networking commands; applications serving a wide range of functionality including Database Transactions, Security, and integrations with several AWS services; RDBMS including Serverless Databases to implement high throughput applications and query tuning; AWS services such as EMR, Glue or S3; implementing machine learning models with financial data; working with statistical data models and data processing; developing Integration and User Acceptance tests using Gherkin format with frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Robot; SDLC process for designing and implementing features, including Agile Methodologies, Proper Jira Story formatting, and Story Estimation; GIT and branching strategies for maintaining code and participating in Code Reviews.
