Together, with our partner firms, we are innovating the industry by taking a holistic and tailored approach to risk management, insurance, and employee benefits. The two principal owners of JGS, Kenneth Hager and Vincent Hager, represent in excess of 40 carriers both national and regional. We recognize the complexities and demands of a comprehensive insurance program for our clients. We realize that very often cost is a decisive factor in determining your selection of an insurance carrier. Our growth path includes increased geographic representation across the U.S., expanded client value propositions and new lines of insurance to meet the needs of evolving lifestyles, business risks, and healthcare funding.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop new scalable commercial applications using .Net technology
  • Maintain continuity of existing applications
  • Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, business analysts in an agile team environment
  • Participate in code reviews and QA testing
  • Collaborate on system designs and review designs of others
  • Mentoring others in development technologies, tools, and processes
  • Collaborate with leadership, customers, partners, and stakeholders to move initiatives forward, balancing competing needs and distilling a coherent strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 8+ years of strong professional hands-on .NET experience
  • C#, ASP.Net MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery experience
  • SQL Server, database queries/design/modeling
  • Agile software development
  • Desire to learn new technologies/tools as needed
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Education and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree - B.A. / B.S., Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other engineering discipline preferred.
  • Experience in working in insurance industry a plus.
  • Azure Apps/DevOps
  • .Net Core/.Net 5+
  • Architecture – OOP, SOLID, DDD, Microservices
  • UX/UI Design
