What You Will Do:

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Regional Account Manager (RAM) to oversee sales and operations for York Residential and Light Commercial products. This role combines sales, technical support, and account management, making the RAM the primary point of contact for all aspects of the business within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be a product champion for York Residential and Light Commercial systems, manage day-to-day transactions, provide exceptional customer service, and foster long-term partnerships with distributors and contractors. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

How You Will Do It:

Sales Management and Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to York Residential and Light Commercial HVAC products.

  • Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities and maximizing existing relationships.

  • Manage sell-in and sell-out performance by ensuring distributor pipelines and contractor engagement.

Account Management and Single Point of Contact:

  • Act as the sole representative of the company for all distributor and contractor interactions.

  • Coordinate across sales, operations, technical support, and service functions to address customer needs efficiently.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with distributors, contractors, and key stakeholders.

Product Champion and Sales Support:

  • Serve as the go-to expert for York Residential and Light Commercial products, including training and troubleshooting.

  • Provide sales support to our independent distributors and their sales teams.

  • Guide distributors and contractors on product applications, installation best practices, and system optimization.

Operational and Transactional Management:

  • Oversee daily transactions, including order processing, pricing, and inventory coordination.

  • Work with distributors to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

  • Monitor and address order accuracy, delivery schedules, and overall customer satisfaction.

Training and Market Development:

  • Conduct training sessions for contractors and distributor sales teams to enhance product knowledge.

  • Assist in onboarding new contractors and integrate them into company programs, such as the York Dealer Programs.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, distributor events, and industry conferences to promote York Residential and Light Commercial solutions.

  • Comprehensive Reporting and Market Feedback: Maintain a detailed sales pipeline and provide regular updates on market trends, opportunities, and challenges.

  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, sharing feedback to improve product offerings and support.

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience in HVAC or related industries, with a strong preference for HVAC Distributor expertise.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Unitary HVAC products and their applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle technical and operational issues independently.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple responsibilities and acting as a single point of contact for clients.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with distributors and contractors in the region, approximately 50% travel.
