Position Summary
Arcesium is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Forward Deployed (FD) team within Client and Partner Development. This role is distinct from traditional product engineering: our mission is time to value. Forward Deployed Engineers rapidly design and deliver solutions that directly address client business needs while building reusable foundations that make the next project faster and better.
This role prioritizes autonomy, execution, and impact. You won’t be limited to incremental features on a fixed roadmap; you’ll help define the problems, shape the solutions, and deliver outcomes that matter to both clients and the product. Your work will power client relationships, accelerate adoption of Arcesium’s platform, and shape the evolution of our products. Forward Deployed Engineers sit in a uniquely leveraged position: seeing client problems first, solving them end-to-end, and turning those solutions into lasting capabilities for the platform.

- You work directly with clients. FD Engineers are part of the face of Arcesium and partner closely with client technology owners and business stakeholders.

- You build targeted, high-impact solutions. Expect many small, self-contained deliverables that directly solve business problems alongside foundational components that endure.
- Code lives at multiple horizons. Some solutions run for years in production; others exist briefly to unlock immediate value.
Responsibilities
- Own execution and delivery of client-facing technical solutions, integrations, and data workflows.
- Gather requirements, iterate on deliverables, and drive projects through completion with client technology owners, client executives, and Arcesium stakeholders.
- Design and build data pipelines, integrations, and targeted applications that address specific business needs.
- Collaborate with platform and product engineers on architecture, patterns, and reusable capabilities informed by client work.
- Rapidly prototype and deliver proof-of-concepts that demonstrate value and inform longer-term solutions.
- Contribute feedback and real-world use cases to product teams to influence roadmap and platform evolution.
- Operate across environments: your solutions may run in Arcesium’s platform, client environments, or someone’s laptop.
Qualifications
- 5+ years delivering data-centric technical solutions to enterprise-scale customers is preferred, but what we’re really looking for is someone with the drive to solve real problems on time, drive innovation, and make yourself and the people around you better every day. - Experience across software engineering, solution delivery, and client collaboration.
- Strong programming skills. We use Java, Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
- Ability to balance speed and quality, building both rapid solutions and durable systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms and the modern data stack is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial services, investment lifecycle, or asset management is a plus.
- Experience using AI in enterprise products and systems, both internal and client-facing, is a plus.
The expected annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $240,000 Base. Our compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, and 401k contribution matching.
