Resend is growing fast, and there are now over 4 million developers using it. We’re building tools that make email better for developers. We care about dependable infrastructure, thoughtful design, and the experience of everyone building with our products.

On our DevTools Squad, you’ll work across our SDKs, React Email, CLI, MCP, and integrations, alongside the backend services that support them. Your work will help developers build within their existing workflows, understand failures, and confidently depend on Resend as their applications grow.

This role is fully remote based in Americas or European timezones, with some expected travel for team offsites, conferences, meetups, and more.

  • Care about interface design, clear errors, useful documentation, and backward compatibility

  • Think about agents as users of a product, with their own needs for discovery and security

  • Can take an ambiguous problem, propose a focused solution, and follow through after release

  • Communicate clearly, welcome feedback, and take ownership while working closely with others

You will be an exceptional fit if you also...
  • Have maintained an open source project or worked closely with external contributors

  • Have built SDKs, command-line tools, MCP servers, or integrations between platforms

  • Have experience with React or frontend build tooling

  • Have built and operated systems with queues, monitoring, and error recovery

  • Have worked across multiple programming languages and understand what makes a library feel natural in each

  • Have experience with email development or a strong interest in learning the space

What it means to join the team:
  • Room to shape technical decisions and take projects from discovery through production

  • Work remotely with teammates around the world

  • Close collaboration with the developers who use what you build

  • Teammates who value thoughtful feedback, shared learning, and care for each other

  • A high bar for product quality, reliability, and the details that make software enjoyable to use

  • Comp: $130,000 - $160,000 USD, commensurate with location and experience

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
