Software Development Business Analyst- Vice President

Who we are looking for

Business Analyst with strong experience in project management, analysis, workflow design, data analysis, and business architecture in order to create client solutions and execute implementation of the Alpha front-to-back client servicing platform.  Individual will contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of State Street Core Data (SSCD), Data Quality framework as a member of an Agile scrum team. Analyze the data quality framework to understand their current state, perform gap analysis and propose future state that meets business as well as technical requirements. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space using cutting edge technology.

What you will be responsible for

As SoftWare Developer Analyst you will

• Be responsible for designing Data quality solutions and onboarding new clients onto State Street’s front-to-back platform
• Lead workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis for current and future state models and architecture
• Contribute to various stages of the SDLC (solution design, integration and testing, implementation, and operational readiness).
• Become a product and platform SME on State Street’s Alpha  Data Quality platform
• Participate in code reviews
• Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs as needed and come up with solutions

• Extensive Knowledge of Financial Data and platforms
• IBOR and ABOR data knowledge
• Understanding of Cloud Computing; Kubernetes, Kafka, Azure/AWS
• Snowflake and SQL
• Strong analytical, reconcilement and organizational skills      
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured, and team-based environment, as well as independently
• Experience in Agile Methodology and tools (i.e., JIRA, Rally, RTC) preferred

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.  10+ years of financial industry experience across front office functionality along with middle (IBOR) and back-office systems, services, and data domains.
• Client engagement and expectation management across project life cycle
• Knowledge of financial data and platforms

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), good interpersonal skills
• Ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector (Math background highly desirable)
• Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment
• Experience working with an Agile development methodology is desired

• Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to the business needs
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible.
• Strong collaboration skills, working with multiple teams in various locations in an agile environment.
