The Social Media Producer will assist in content production, manage social media presence, collaborate with teams, and engage audience effectively.
Job Details:
The Producer will assist with our content production and promotion strategies, with an eye on further growing TRD's voice and presence on social media.
The ideal candidate is keen to adapt TRD’s award-winning journalism across multiple formats, from short-form copywriting to longer-form storytelling. The candidate should possess strong news sensibilities, clean copywriting skills and an understanding of social media tools and trends.
Job Responsibilities:
● Assist the Social Media Editor, who creates the daily flow of content across all platforms
● Produce daily content to run on Facebook and Linkedin, work with reporters to build expanded X/Threads story breakdowns
● Work with the Multimedia team on cross-platform collaboration, including with TRD’s video team to script social-first videos
● Community management, including audience engagement and expanding TRD's network of industry collaborators
● Administrative support to maximize understanding of analytics and success of social media campaigns
● Collaborate with the Marketing team on promotional efforts including events, partnerships, and subscriptions
Job requirements:
● Experience working at a news outlet or media company is preferred
● Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, collaborative and able to juggle multiple projects
● Social media savvy, including knowledge of best practices, tools and trends
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Experience with social media management tools like Later.com, Sprout Social is a plus
● Interest/experience with Photoshop and/or basic knowledge of fonts, color theory and layout are a plus
