What You'll Do
Position Overview:
As a Social Creator/Editor (Ninja), you'll be at the forefront of SharkNinja's brand storytelling across both paid and organic social media. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly take raw content and turn it into high-performing paid assets across the funnel, while also shaping compelling organic content that drives engagement and brand love.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that blends content creation, video editing, and social media strategy. You must be fluent in TikTok, Reels, and short-form content formats, with a strong pulse on trends and platform best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Rapidly edit and optimize content for performance-driven paid social campaigns across platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
  • Transform raw product footage, influencer/UCG, and creative assets into high-converting videos tailored to full-funnel KPIs (awareness, consideration, conversion)
  • Collaborate with performance marketing teams to A/B test creative variations and iterate based on performance data
Lead creation of organic-first content for your assigned brand category (one of: Beauty, Shark Home, Ninja), aligned with each brand's tone, visual identity, and community strategy
  • Shoot, produce, and edit TikToks, Reels, and other short-form videos
  • Execute fast-turnaround editing requests under tight deadlines while maintaining high creative standards
  • Repurpose influencer and internal content into fresh, thumb-stopping social video assets
  • Proactively pitch ideas, write short-form video concepts, and execute trend-driven and evergreen content
  • Maintain a consistent, engaging presence on social platforms through a blend of planned and reactive content
  • Work cross-functionally with social, integrated marketing, and brand teams for product launches and ongoing content needs
  • Stay on top of platform trends, viral content, and editing techniques to inspire fresh ideas
  • Monitor and report on organic and paid content performance to guide creative direction
  • Identify content gaps and pitch solutions to meet marketing objectives

What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of hands-on video editing and short-form content creation experience
  • Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts trends, features, and creative best practices
  • Proficient in CapCut, TikTok's in-app editing tools, and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
  • Excellent storytelling skills in <60-second formats
  • Strong attention to detail and visual sensibility
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating content for performance marketing (DTC, eCommerce, or agency experience is a plus)
  • Graphic design skills a plus

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing recent examples of short-form social video content-ideally including both organic and paid work-to demonstrate creative range, editing skills, and platform fluency.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
