Job Responsibilities:

Summary: The Die Setter will work in conjunction with each other to complete die set ups in an efficient and safe manner.
Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other
duties may be assigned and required.
1. Perform complete die sets per set up book i.e. set up presses by installing and testing dies, load press feeders and dereelers, adjust
guides, fixtures, conveyors and other aspects of the press
2. Obtain first off approval of new set ups, accurately measure test pieces and adjust press and dies to ensure parts produced meet
required specifications
3. Inspect/Accept/Reject material/parts per work instruction / process book / procedures
4. Inspect and tag dies for cleaning and repair
5. Perform die or press corrections when applicable or contact proper support personnel
6. Assist in training operators on basic machine operations and quality inspections
7. Responsible for quality of parts they produce and reporting any nonconforming parts to Quality and supervisor immediately
8. Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and work environment
9. Maintain a good working relationship with his/her fellow employees and keeps his/her supervisor advised of conditions within the
work area
10. Complete schedule work and tasks within time allotted or if unable to, supervisor must be notified
11. Record data as appropriate to include classifying FunnelCloud downtime
12. Follow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa's and Magna's operating principles
13. Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
