Lead pre-sale and delivery activities for Veeva Professional Services: design engagements, draft RFx responses, proposals and SOWs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage a high-volume pipeline, and advise customer executives to sell and deliver SaaS implementations for life sciences customers.
Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $3B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.
At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.
As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.
Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.
The Services Engagement Manager is an experienced, results-driven professional to drive the strategy, positioning, and delivery model for Veeva’s Professional Services. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and external executive leadership—helping life sciences organizations understand the value of partnering with Veeva to achieve their business objectives. You will own the end-to-end engagement design, collaborate across functions, and drive a high-volume pipeline with precision, velocity, and diplomacy.
With a passion for Software Implementation and (preferred) expertise in Life Sciences/Healthcare/IT sales cycles, you’ll draft and deliver RFx Responses, Proposals, and Statements of Work, driving alignment with internal cross-functional subject matter experts and customer leadership.
This is a remote, full-time permanent role with Veeva. This is a customer-facing role and we have no work location requirement if you are in close proximity to an airport and able to meet potential travel requirements when they arise.
What You'll Do
- Selling Value of Veeva Services: Educate customers on methodology and the value of Veeva’s Professional Services - why should they want to work with us? Set appropriate expectations of what we can/should/won’t do
- Engagement Design: Define and prescribe the best Professional Services model for a given customer, based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and business objectives, through Proposals, Statements of Work, and RFx responses
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across sales, strategy, services, business consulting, solutions consulting, and others to ensure optimal engagement approach and positioning
- Operational Excellence: Take strong ownership of a high-volume pipeline through consistent execution, a sense of urgency/speed, flawless data management, and appropriate stakeholder communication (from internal Associates to external C-Suite)
- Leadership Through Influence: Provide thought partnership to the broader business and drive meaningful results without a direct reporting structure; embrace creative conflict with diplomacy and humility
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience delivering software implementation and enhancement projects (Program Manager, Project Manager, Functional/Business Analyst, Practice Manager, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience scoping/defining project plans, resource models, and negotiation of Statements of Work for software implementation projects a plus
- Background in Life Sciences, Health Care, or Tech preferred; Experience working with Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance, or Regulatory Information Management (RIM) software applications a plus
- A problem-solving and customer services-oriented mentality to drive the positioning and sales of professional services; Consulting, Tech Sales, and Program/Project Management experience
- Remote role based in North America, with ability to work across time zones and travel when required (~10-15%)
