The Opportunity
As a ServiceNow Software Engineer, you will design, develop, configure, and occasionally customize ServiceNow applications, focusing on HR Service Delivery and related modules. You will deliver new functionality, support the entire development lifecycle, and assist with product-related incident resolution. By leveraging agile practices and ServiceNow best practices, you will help drive efficient, user-centric solutions that enhance HR processes at Takeda.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Solution Designs to internal customers throughout deployment.
  • Collaborate with Agile Teams to refine user stories, design tests, and continuously deliver product enhancements.
  • Configure and Maintain Features while extending the ServiceNow data model to support evolving requirements.
  • Develop User Interfaces for Forms, Lists, Experiences, and Mobile Applications.
  • Implement Business Logic using scripting (Script Includes, Business Rules) and Flow Designer.
  • Focus on HR Service Delivery by implementing and enhancing ServiceNow modules (e.g., Lifecycle Events, Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center).
  • Design and Develop Automated Tests using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework and unit tests for Script Includes.
  • Document Work using Agile development tools and SDLC methodologies.
  • Collaborate with HR Teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Train and Support HR users to ensure effective adoption of ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Stay Current with new features and best practices for ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and related modules.
  • Manage Deployments using Application Repository, Update Sets, Source Control, and Pipeline tools.
  • Perform Data Imports and create data transform rules as needed.
  • Use Agile Engineering Practices to rapidly develop creative, efficient solutions that enhance both customer and employee experiences.
  • Demo and Validate developed functionality with stakeholders to gather feedback.
  • Adhere to Standards by following ServiceNow best practices and Takeda's development guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Information technology; or relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of developing ServiceNow solutions, with a solid foundation in HR Service Delivery.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and how they can be optimized using ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and related modules.
  • Hands-on experience in JavaScript (ES12 refactoring a plus).
  • Experience configuring ServiceNow HR Service Delivery features (Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, Lifecycle Events).
  • Familiarity with integrating ServiceNow HR with other HR systems.
  • Solid communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
