About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

About the Role

We’re seeking an SEO Advocate with 2–3 years of experience to help scale Solace’s organic growth across traditional search and emerging AI platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of AI visibility, performance-driven content, authority building, and technical SEO. You’ll own our blog content program-coordinating the editorial calendar, writing original health content, and working alongside healthcare professionals to produce authoritative, patient focused-articles. You’ll execute against a clear strategic roadmap while operating with autonomy and ownership.

Reporting into Growth leadership, you’ll collaborate closely with CRO, Product, and Engineering to ensure Solace is discoverable, trusted, and conversion-ready at scale.

What You’ll Do

Advance AI & Search Visibility

  • Execute initiatives that improve Solace’s visibility across Google and AI platforms (e.g., LLM-driven search experiences)

  • Optimize FAQ and entity signals to improve citation potential

  • Track AI and organic visibility trends and surface opportunities proactively

Drive Performance SEO

  • Optimize high-intent pages tied directly to patient acquisition and revenue

  • Conduct keyword research focused on commercial and problem-aware queries

  • Support expansion of condition, insurance, and marketplace pages

  • Continuously refresh and improve existing content based on performance data

Own Blog Content & Healthcare Writing

  • Coordinate and manage the editorial content calendar, ensuring a consistent cadence of high-quality, SEO-driven blog content

  • Write original, well-researched healthcare articles tailored to patient audiences, covering topics such as insurance navigation, condition management, and advocacy

  • Collaborate with Solace’s internal creative team to submit content for review, incorporate feedback, and ensure all published articles meet brand, quality, and accuracy standards

  • Engage Solace physicians and patient advocates as subject matter experts to inform content accuracy and depth

  • Optimize blog content for search intent, readability, and conversion—balancing patient education with organic performance goals

Support Authority & Backlink Growth

  • Identify high-value backlink opportunities and build outreach lists

  • Execute outreach campaigns and track placements

  • Assist in developing linkable assets and authoritative resource content

  • Monitor backlink health and referring domain growth

Maintain Technical SEO Excellence

  • Conduct site audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and Google Search Console

  • Identify crawl, indexation, and internal linking opportunities

  • Document technical recommendations clearly for Engineering

  • QA implementations to ensure best-in-class execution

Own Performance Tracking

  • Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversion-related SEO metrics

  • Maintain dashboards and regular reporting

  • Translate data into actionable insights

What Success Looks Like

A steady cadence of high-impact SEO initiatives and authoritative healthcare content that measurably increase organic visibility, authority, and patient acquisition — improving rankings across revenue-driving pages, expanding AI and search discoverability, strengthening our backlink profile, and building scalable systems that compound growth over time.

What You Bring to the Table
  • 2–3 years of hands-on SEO experience in-house or at an agency

  • Demonstrated experience improving rankings, traffic, or organic growth metrics

  • Familiarity with technical SEO fundamentals (crawlability, indexation, schema, internal linking)

  • Experience using tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console

  • Proven health or medical writing experience, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content for patient audiences

  • Experience managing an editorial calendar and collaborating with internal stakeholders for content review and feedback

  • Exposure to backlink outreach or digital PR initiatives

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working in spreadsheets

  • Clear written communication skills

  • High agency, strong ownership mindset, and bias toward execution

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in healthcare, marketplaces, or regulated industries

  • Strong understanding of health literacy and the ability to translate complex medical topics into clear, patient-friendly content

  • Exposure to AI-driven search trends or structured data strategy

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering or Product teams

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
