The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior User Experience Designer supporting the SABRE program at Hanscom AFB, MA. This position is on a future contract pending award announcement.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will ensure that SABRE's interface is optimized for usability, efficiency, and mission success. Work with engineers, mission partners, and end-users to create seamless workflows that enhance operational effectiveness in high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user interface requirements and design innovative, mission-driven user experiences.

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for user interface designs, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.

  • Align design concepts with user needs, mission objectives, and business outcomes.

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and other user-centered design activities to inform and validate design decisions.

  • Create and maintain design guidelines, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and usability across all interfaces.

  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of design concepts.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, applying new insights to the SABRE design process to improve user experience and accessibility.

Clearance Required:

  • Active DoD Secret

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • BS degree and 8 or more years of experience in UI/UX design, product design, or enterprise applications. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • 4+ years of experience designing user interfaces for cloud-based projects

  • 4+ years of experience working in a DoD or Federal Government environment

  • Proven experience in user research, usability testing, and design thinking methodologies

  • Strong visual design skills with a focus on clean, modern UX/UI principles

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into intuitive user experiences

  • Strong knowledge of tools, such as, Figma, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) or UX Design Certification

  • Experience designing for DoD applications with CAC/PIV authentication flows

  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards

  • Familiarity with USAF-specific enterprise applications and workflows

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
