About the Program: Radiance Technologies is the prime developer in support of the SAFE-SiM program, a next-generation Modeling, Simulation, and Analytics (MS&A) application that provides insight into complex battlefield questions to inform senior leaders across the defense and intelligence communities. SAFE-SiM delivers faster-than-real-time simulation of real-world scenarios at scale, using sensitive data protected by some of the most stringent security requirements. The platform enables collaboration among modelers, analysts, and operational developers across multiple clearance levels.

About the Position: As the SAFE-SiM program enters its next phase of development, the Senior Technical Writer plays a critical role in elevating the quality, consistency, and strategic impact of all program documentation and media. This role is responsible for ensuring documentation standards are defined, enforced, and continuously improved.

The Senior Technical Writer will work closely with engineering team leads, and stakeholders to produce polished, professional, and user-centered documentation across multiple formats. The work produced will directly shape how end-users (customers) experience SAFE-SiM.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Academic, Commercial, or DoD technical writing
• Proven excellence in written and visual communication, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience-appropriate content
• Experience owning documentation standards, style guides, and overall documentation quality across a program
• Proven experience with file versioning and collaboration tools such as SharePoint or Confluence
• Ability to create and oversee media in multiple formats including text, graphics, and video
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe tool suites

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with web design, web content creation, and formatting languages such as HTML and Markdown
• Experience with modern documentation platforms and tools such as VS Code and JetBrains
• Familiarity with Documentation as Code practices
• Familiarity with automated tools for enforcing style, quality, and grammar such as Vale or Grazie
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Working knowledge of software development concepts and basic programming languages
• Active security clearance
