Job Description:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex hardware systems (e.g., controllers, embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, RF/microwave systems).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Oversee hardware validation, testing, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing) to ensure product success.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in hardware design methodologies.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, schematics, and layout designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in hardware engineering.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Requires BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience in leading hardware/embedded systems design projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful embedded system products.
  • Strong ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and interface well with peers and management in a corporate setting.
  • Proficient in analysis, simulation and implementation of embedded control systems, data converters, RF/Microwave systems, analog and digital filters.
  • Knowledge of atomic clocks, precision timing/navigation and related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in using FPGA/CPLD is desired.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $91,000-$232,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
