About the role:

The Senior Technical Sourcer develops sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for complex and specialized technology roles, with an emphasis on senior technical talent with experience building new products, platforms, and systems. This role partners with recruiters and advises engineering leaders using talent-market insights and sourcing data to improve hiring decisions and search outcomes.

What you will do:

Technical Talent Strategy & Pipeline Development

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies within recruiter-led searches for complex and specialized roles across software development, platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, data, and AI, building qualified pipelines for critical technical hiring needs.
  • Identify and engage passive technical talent with relevant experience building new products, platforms, and scalable systems in greenfield, modernization, or high-growth environments to meet Lyric’s specialized engineering hiring needs.

Technical Talent Assessment

  • Partner with recruiters and engineering leaders to translate complex technical requirements into clear candidate profiles, target markets, sourcing strategies, and outreach approaches that improve search focus and candidate quality.
  • Assess prospective candidates for relevant technical depth, individual contribution, scope, and experience building versus primarily maintaining established systems, enabling recruiting and hiring teams to focus on candidates aligned with role requirements.

Talent Advisory & Market Intelligence

  • Serve as a sourcing advisor to senior engineering stakeholders, including VP- and C-suite-level leaders, by presenting sourcing approaches, talent-market research, competitive intelligence, pipeline performance, search risks, and recommendations.
  • Analyze pipeline, engagement, quality, and conversion data to identify talent-market constraints, challenge assumptions when supported by evidence, and recommend adjustments that improve search outcomes and hiring decisions.

Candidate Engagement & Recruiting Partnership

  • Conduct initial candidate conversations and partner with the broader Talent Acquisition team to deliver a timely, inclusive, and transparent candidate experience, effectively communicating Lyric’s technical opportunities while maintaining accurate candidate and pipeline information in Talent Acquisition systems.

Sourcing Practice & Team Enablement

  • Share technical talent-market expertise, sourcing approaches, and research practices across Talent Acquisition; coach and mentor sourcers on complex searches and sourcing techniques to strengthen the team’s overall sourcing capability.

Requirements:

·       5+ years of professional sourcing or recruiting experience, including 3+ years focused on software engineering or technical talent.

·       5+ years sourcing senior, staff, principal, architect, engineering leadership, or similarly specialized technical talent.

·       2+ years sourcing technical talent for greenfield development, platform engineering, cloud transformation, modernization, or new product development.

·       Experience directly advising and presenting talent-market or pipeline information to senior engineering leaders, including VP- or C-suite-level stakeholders.

·       Working knowledge of modern software development and technical domains such as backend or full-stack development, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, APIs, microservices, platform engineering, DevOps, data platforms, or AI.

·       Advanced experience with technical sourcing methods, including Boolean search, talent mapping, competitive research, database mining, talent intelligence platforms, or technical-community research.

·       Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical profiles for individual contribution, scope, technical depth, and relevant product or platform-building experience.

·       Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex sourcing work, use market and pipeline data to make recommendations, and influence stakeholders in ambiguous or evolving hiring environments.

Preferred Requirements:

·       Experience sourcing technical talent that has built enterprise-scale platforms, cloud-native products, or technology in zero-to-one environments.

·       Experience supporting executive-level engineering searches or other highly visible technical hiring initiatives.

·       Experience in a high-growth healthcare technology, SaaS, AI, or private equity-backed organization.

·       Experience using Workday Recruiting, HireEZ, or similar talent intelligence and sourcing platforms.
