What You'll Do
- Work with engineering leaders to translate business objectives into clear technical requirements, milestones, and execution plans
- Define and manage our approach to tiered data storage across our cloud network
- Organize the setting of all cloud technical and financial alarm thresholds and organize responses to them.
- Work with Tech Leaders to understand/answer technical questions on the costs of their cloud spend, answer finance's technical questions on technical issues.
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs across Chewy's code management and CICD programs from concept through launch and post-launch optimization
- Navigate complex user and system dependencies across backend services and platform infrastructure
- Identify risks, tradeoffs, and bottlenecks early; drive mitigation strategies and escalate effectively when needed
- Partner with engineering teams in architecture and design discussions to understand system tradeoffs and inform execution plans
- Establish and drive operational rigor through program reviews, metrics, status reporting, and retrospectives
- Drive clear communication and alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership
- Own and drive sound Data Governance across Chewy in partnership with other disciplines.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Proven experience leading multi-team, multi-system programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong technical fluency with cloud resources, ecommerce technologies, and cloud-based architectures
- Experience working with Finance and financial concepts.
- Ability to engage in architecture discussions, understand system tradeoffs, and influence technical decision-making
- Experience managing complex dependencies across engineering, product, data, and business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences, including executives
- Highly organized, execution-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and bias toward action
Nice to Have
- Experience building and scaling software products in eCommerce or marketplace environments
- Experience with DevOps, Code Management, and Security
- Experience in agentic systems
- Experience working on systems that span both customer-facing experiences and internal platforms
The base salary range for this role is $129,500 - $207,000.00.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
