We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the roadmap for our interoperability portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of deep healthcare standards knowledge and strategic product thinking. You will work with world-class engineers, engage directly with enterprise customers, and influence the direction of some of the most business-critical healthcare software in use today.
The role offers a genuine opportunity to shape standards adoption at scale, lead AI-native interoperability capabilities from concept to launch, represent InterSystems at HL7 and HIMSS, and be recognized for making a measurable difference in how healthcare data moves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the multi-year product roadmap for InterSystems Data Platform Healthcare Interoperability Engine and Platforms from discovery through GA aligned to company strategy and regulatory timelines
- Translate healthcare interoperability standards and regulatory requirements (TEFCA, Da Vinci IGs, CMS prior auth, HTI-2) into prioritized product features with clear delivery milestones
- Run structured customer discovery with enterprise accounts: IDNs, HIEs, payers, and life sciences organizations to validate product direction and surface unmet needs
- Lead competitive analysis against competitors’ vendors; translate findings into differentiated positioning and roadmap decisions
- Define strategy for AI-native interoperability.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog using structured frameworks with explicit assumptions; author PRDs and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can act on independently
- Act as the external technical voice of the product — presenting roadmap to enterprise customers, engaging at HIMSS and HL7 working groups, and supporting sales as a subject matter expert
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer success, and support to align on go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and customer escalation paths
- Define and track product KPIs across the interoperability portfolio; synthesize customer feedback, support signals, and adoption data into continuous roadmap refinement
Experience/Qualification Required
- 10+ years of technical product management in healthcare IT, with primary focus on interoperability, integration engines.
- Working-level expertise in healthcare interoperability standards: HL7 V2.x, FHIR R4, CDA/C-CDA, SMART on FHIR (OAuth 2.0 flows, scopes, launch contexts), and X12 EDI required at the level needed to review architecture designs and validate conformance
- Demonstrable experience with healthcare data transformations (e.g., HL7 V2 to FHIR, CDA to FHIR).
- Experience working with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Oracle Health, Meditech), health information exchanges, and TEFCA or QHIN data exchange workflows
- Hands-on familiarity with at least one enterprise integration engine (InterSystems Health Connect/Ensemble, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, or equivalent) - able to read routing logic and transformation configurations
- Demonstrated ability to drive product strategy, manage cross-functional delivery teams, and communicate effectively with both executive and engineering audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field; advanced degree (MS, MPH, MBA) a plus
- Experience with programming (Python, Java, or similar) sufficient to prototype FHIR API calls, inspect JSON/XML payloads, and engage as a technical peer in design reviews
- Participation in HL7 working groups, Da Vinci project calls, ONC FAST, or HIMSS interoperability initiatives; experience with ONC Health IT certification (HTI-1 / USCDI v3)
