Our Opportunity:
At Chewy, it is our mission to become the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners vets and service providers alike. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That's why we continue to think of outside-the-Chewy-box ways to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers!
Are you a strategic, data-savvy product leader passionate about delivering innovative solutions that drive measurable impact to our supply chain? Join Chewy's Fulfillment Technology team as a Senior Technical Product Manager, where you will craft and implement a product vision focused on streamlining fulfillment center operations through technology powered by data science and intelligent automation.
Our fulfillment centers play a major role in our mission to be a trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and their partners everywhere. You'll partner with operations, engineering and data science teams to build platforms and tools that optimize how orders flow through our fulfillment network. Your work will directly improve efficiency, timely processing, and build smarter, more scalable systems.
What You'll Do:
  • Own the Product Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product roadmap that aligns with business goals, operational efficiency, and customer happiness.
  • Deliver Scalable Solutions: Lead the full product lifecycle-from discovery and requirement definition to development, testing, and rollout.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to find opportunities for machine learning and predictive analytics to enhance fulfillment processes.
  • Prioritize for Impact: Use data insights, customer feedback, and simulation to prioritize features and improvements.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Coordinate across engineering, operations, data science, and analytics to ensure seamless execution and adoption of new tools and features.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Define and track important metrics to measure product success, inform future investments, and iterate on product improvements.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Business, Supply Chain); Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions in operations, fulfillment, warehousing, or other data-driven environments.
  • Experience collaborating on optimization or data science projects-ideally in logistics or fulfillment domains-with an understanding of data science and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong business sense with the ability to balance critical thinking and detailed execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Established experience in handling cross-functional projects with different partners.
  • Comfort with using data tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to analyze trends and guide product decisions.
Bonus:
  • Experience in fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain optimization.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies or Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, SAFe).

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
