As a Senior Tax Research Specialist, you'll help transform evolving tax regulations into industry-leading software solutions used by tax professionals nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tax practitioners who are interested in expanding into tax technology, software development, and product innovation
Some of the things you will be doing:
- Analyze federal and state tax law changes and translate them into software requirements
- Partner with developers to ensure tax calculations remain accurate, compliant, and user-friendly
- Validate tax return calculations and functionality through testing and quality review
- Create technical documentation that supports software design, compliance, and client understanding
- Contribute to strategic projects that enhance tax software solutions and customer experience
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams and end users
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of corporate or pass-through tax compliance, tax technology, and Corptax experience
CPA, Master's degree, or tax software industry experience
Experience leveraging AI-driven tools (e.g., generative AI, tax research platforms with AI capabilities, data analytics tools) to enhance tax research, technical analysis, and workflow efficiency
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
Interest in leveraging technology to solve complex tax challenges
Flexibility to support critical filing season deadlines and business priorities

**Compensation is based on several factors, including location, skills, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,880.92 to $109, 729.11.
