We're looking for an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to support our transfer pricing and indirect tax compliance initiatives. You will play a key part in aligning our global operations with local and international tax regulations, while optimizing our overall tax profile and drive sustainable growth.
Expertise in transfer pricing and indirect tax (including VAT/GST and sales/use tax) will be essential for partnering with other teams and external advisors to ensure compliance and strategic tax planning.
This hybrid position reports to the Director of Accounting and is open to candidates based in either our Los Angeles or Dallas offices. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
- IImplement global transfer pricing strategies and ensure documentation aligns with business operations and regulatory requirements (OECD, local TP rules).
- Guide all aspects of indirect tax compliance, including sales/use tax, VAT/GST registration, filings, reconciliations, and audits.
- Partner with external tax advisors to maintain transfer pricing reports, local files, and master files; support global Pillar II documentation and compliance efforts.
- Conduct benchmarking and economic analyses to evaluate intercompany transactions and ensure appropriate arm's-length pricing.
- Support the preparation of annual tax provisions related to transfer pricing and indirect tax, including reconciliations between financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Advise stakeholders on tax implications of new products, services, or business models, especially related to indirect taxes and intercompany arrangements.
- Monitor changes in global tax laws and regulations affecting transfer pricing and indirect tax, assess their impact, and proactively adjust strategy and documentation.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries, preparing responses and managing communications with tax authorities for transfer pricing and indirect tax matters.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and business operations teams to ensure compliance and align tax positions with broader company goals.
- Drive improvements in tax processes and systems for increased automation, accuracy, and scalability.
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including transfer pricing and indirect tax work at a public accounting firm and/or within a multinational corporate tax department.
- In-depth knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines, local transfer pricing rules, and VAT/GST systems in key jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with tax compliance software, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), and tax automation tools.
- Ability to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them practically.
- Adapt at conveying technical tax concepts to non financial teams.
