Xometry is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Software Solutions Engineer to support our sales team. This role combines technical pre-sales expertise, Sourcing/Procurement SaaS solution architecture, and customer engagement to help our customers navigate and adopt Xometry’s digital manufacturing software solutions.

You’ll work closely with our Sales and Product teams to identify customer needs, architect software-based solutions, and support strategic accounts with implementation guidance and technical insight. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and collaborative technologist with a strong understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms and digital transformation in the aerospace and defense sector.

ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Sales Support
  • Partner with Account Executives to support and close strategic SaaS deals and Customer Procurement integrations
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solution proposals
  • Deliver high-impact demos, proof-of-concept builds, and onboarding sessions
  • Lead technical discovery conversations and attend customer calls and site visits to build trusted technical relationships
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to inform product and go-to-market strategies
Pre-Sales Engineering & Solution Design
  • Architect and propose scalable SaaS solutions aligned with customer workflows
  • Familiarity with Procurement solutions including components like Punchouts, Invoicing etc.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to support product adoption
  • Guide prospects through integrations, APIs, and platform extensibility
  • Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on field insights
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, technical pre-sales, or solutions architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Background supporting SaaS platforms in a B2B or enterprise setting
  • Familiarity with the aerospace and defense industry, including understanding of common procurement systems, compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, NIST, DFARS), and digital transformation trends
  • Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and custom workflow automation
  • Prior exposure to CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), ERP/MRP systems, or PLM tools is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in remote/digital environments
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed to visit customer sites
