We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team for this hybrid opportunity out of our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer is a critical member of the mobile engineering program at Imprivata. The team develops innovative native Android and iOS applications. These applications are part of Imprivata's broader integrated HealthCare solutions that include prospective embedded technologies and cloud components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building world-class cloud-based applications and working on enterprise grade products, and embedded systems.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving designs of embedded software components that are part of a SaaS solution that drives workflow optimizations.
• Lead technical development, implementation of client based, embedded technologies.
• Partner effectively with other technology teams, engineering leadership, and Product to drive product strategy.
• Mentor team members and help foster an overall cohesive development team.
• Provide leadership regarding quality aspects: unit testing, systems integration, performance, and scalability.
• Create high quality code with an emphasis on testability via automation.
• Conduct and oversee code submission, code delivery and code reviews.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
• Provide support to customer case support, as well as training to field employees on core product set..
• Other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related degree.
• 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years of experience designing and building enterprise applications; either mobile, SaaS or embedded systems.
• Experienced C++/C engineer with a background in technical leadership, mentoring, and agile scrum environments.
• Proven ability to develop secure, efficient enterprise client applications across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux), including mobile and tablet devices.
• Skilled in cross-functional communication, collaborating effectively with internal teams, customers, and partners.
• Proficient in low-level protocols (e.g., USB), device drivers, IoT, and embedded systems integration.
• Exposure and knowledge of mobile development (iOS and Android) highly desired

This position offers a salary range of $155,800.00 to $165,800.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here . This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
