JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Software Engineer at WEVO, you will contribute to WEVO’s Pro and Pulse products.

WEVO Pro is an enterprise product that collects human insights to create better digital experiences. In this role, your contributions to our infrastructure, operations, data processing pipelines, and APIs will help our product to continue to meet the expectations of our enterprise customers with respect to flexibility, reliability, data quality, and speed.

WEVO Pulse is an AI-powered tool that generates insights in minutes to help users iterate on their digital experiences. You will play a critical role in applying state of the art generative and agentic AI technologies to problems in the user experience research domain in the areas of usability and experience analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the lifecycle of complex features from requirements gathering to delivery, balancing short term and long term tradeoffs
• Productize Generative AI and Agentic AI applications in user experience research domains
• Develop resilient, scalable, and extensible data pipelines
• Design and deploy APIs used by our frontend applications and customer integrations
• Make occasional updates to frontend applications

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years experience with programming languages and frameworks like Python/Flask/Django, Javascript/Typescript/NodeJs
• Track record of consistently shipping customer facing products and features
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling approaches, and experience managing, monitoring, and scaling relational databases (we use PostgreSQL, but any flavor of relational database is fine)
• Working knowledge of Linux or Unix based systems. You should know your way around a terminal
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-based architectures. We use AWS, so prior experience with AWS is a plus, specifically a knowledge of AWS services including IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, and SQS
• Prior startup experience - we’re looking for a candidate who can ramp up fast, make decisions in high uncertainty environments, and is able to make reasonable tradeoffs between shipping quickly and shipping high quality

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with frontend Javascript frameworks like React and Vue.Js
• Familiarity with frontend tooling packages like Vite and Webpack
• Have shipped at least one product or feature that leverages generative AI
• Experience with creating, maintaining, and scaling machine learning infrastructure using cloud services
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Open to hybrid work environment in Greater Boston Area
