This role will leverage your Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies expertise. You will help build the next-generation platform for new products and services. The Golden Path cloud-native platform will be used to bring new products and services to market faster. This involves simplifying their performance, reliability, security, and operational needs.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Leading test framework architecture and building continuous execution pipelines for cloud platform features.
• Helping shape the automated quality engineering roadmap with developers and product stakeholders.
• Establishing test automation standards, sharing testing domain knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Partnering with engineering leadership to improve continuous delivery stability and release confidence.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Demonstrate expertise building test frameworks using Python/Pytest.
• Possess deep experience testing high availability, fault tolerant Kubernetes services, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
• Apply advanced knowledge of networking protocols, Linux systems, and continuous delivery tools.
• Possess knowledge using Linux-based operating systems and an understanding of basic security principles.
• Have experience leveraging CI/CD tools to achieve good software development practices.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from 102,500 - 184,500 CAD/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
