We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Enterprise Applications Engineer with a specialization in Salesforce development to work with a collaborative, globally distributed team. The IT Enterprise Applications Engineering job family is responsible for the implementation and operational ownership of all Enterprise Applications.
What you'll doLead or participate in the design, development of functionalities in Salesforce org.
Provide technical insights and recommendations to ensure that Salesforce application is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the organization’s long-term goals.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and system outages.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of application architectures, configurations, and processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, influencing decisions related to integration with other systems, data management, and overall system architecture.
Act in alignment with GitLab communication framework.
Minimum 5- 6+ years of experience in Salesforce platform as a Salesforce developer.
Strong coding skills in Apex, JavaScript, SOQL,Salesforce integration, Salesforce/ Zuora CPQ.
Proven experience in release management using change sets, CI/CD.
Experience owning projects from end-to-end.
Proven experience troubleshooting and identifying root cause of system failures.
Experience building solutions in sync with third party tools (Zuora CPQ, Sales tools).
Knowledge of Salesforce data models, security, and performance tuning
Experience in Salesforce configuration, including flows, validation rules, and security controls.
Experience in writing/maintaining high quality code, participating in code review and contributing to making the system stable.
Certifications such as Platform Developer 1, PD-2 (Nice to have) or JavaScript Developer 1 are desirable.
Public company and SOX ITGC control experience is (Nice to have).
Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization.
About the team
IT Enterprise applications team consists of globally distributed and collaborative developers, admins, architects to build, maintain and optimize enterprise systems used by majority of GitLab employees from different business verticals.
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
