Our CRM ecosystem is foundational to delivering exceptional experiences for customers, partners, and internal teams. Salesforce sits at its core, spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Order Management, and B2B/B2C Commerce, and is powered by Agentforce across the platform. Our Salesforce teams build the systems that support customer service, shared platform capabilities, and professional commerce. In this senior, hands-on individual contributor role, you will work across these teams on their most complex engineering challenges, combining deep software development skills with Salesforce solution architecture to shape how Sonos serves its customers at scale.

What You'll Do
  • Embed with Salesforce product teams where complex engineering challenges require senior expertise, agreeing on delivery scope and outcomes with your manager and the receiving team's product owner and technical lead.
  • Own technical delivery of complex features end-to-end, including requirements analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment coordination, and production support.
  • Design Salesforce solutions across service, platform, and commerce initiatives, evaluating tradeoffs in data models, integration patterns, security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Build reliable Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow solutions, selecting standard platform capabilities where they meet the need and advocating for maintainable approaches.
  • Apply deep Service Cloud expertise to complex Service Console workflows, case handling, agent-facing integrations, and customer context when assigned to contact center initiatives.
  • Design and deliver Agentforce and AI-enabled capabilities within the teams you join, including how customer context moves between AI and human support.
  • Diagnose complex application and integration issues, address performance and reliability problems, and identify recurring technical debt for resolution.
  • Review code and solution designs, mentor engineers, and raise the bar on testing, documentation, observability, and maintainability across the teams you work with.
  • Partner with the Salesforce Platform team on shared data models, permissions, reusable components, environment strategy, and coordinated releases.
  • Document design decisions, transfer implementation knowledge, and establish clear support ownership before transitioning between team assignments.

What You'll NeedBasic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce engineering experience, with a record of independently delivering complex solutions through production support.
  • Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, SOQL, and the Salesforce data model.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Service Cloud and Service Console, including case management, agent workflows, and integrations that support contact center operations.
  • Experience designing Salesforce solutions and making architectural decisions for complex business processes and integrations.
  • Experience designing API integrations and reasoning about authentication, asynchronous processing, failure handling, and data consistency.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform limits, performance, testing, security, and maintainable software design.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and coordinated releases in a shared Salesforce environment.
  • Ability to guide technical decisions, review code, mentor colleagues, and explain tradeoffs to both technical and business partners.
  • A degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Architecture or implementation experience in one or more additional Salesforce areas, such as Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Order Management, B2B Commerce, or CPQ.
  • Experience with contact center channels, Omni-Channel, Salesforce Knowledge, entitlements, or milestones.
  • Experience with order management or order-to-cash processes, including integrations across fulfillment, returns, and customer service.
  • Experience with Agentforce, agent assistance, or transferring customer context between AI and human support.
  • Experience improving agent productivity or resolution quality through software changes.
  • Exposure to diagnostic platforms, AWS services, or integration middleware such as Boomi.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II, Service Cloud Consultant, or other relevant certifications.
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications, or equivalent demonstrated architectural expertise.
