Senior Quality Engineer for Novanta Corporation to work at our Bedford, MA loc. Address key customer qual issues. Ensure comm + complete prob res. Present findings + actions from RMA investigations via 8D, 5WHY + other rptng mthds. Maintain + improve corp RMA prcs to enhance labor efficiency, reduce warranty costs, + optimize cycle time. Support qual improv activities to improve prod perf. Lead MRB inv + scrap reduction efforts. Comm+ resolve supplier qual issues. Support APQP/PPAP activities w/in sply chain. Monitor, track + rpt daily incoming + outgoing inspection throughput. Def sampling plans according to prod risk. Perform + maintain First Article Inspection Reports + other prod qual docs. Lead part quals int + w/in supply chain. Assist in eng’ring to prod transfers. Support prod compliance cert. Participate + facilitate D/PFMEAs. Rep qual assurance + customer in design dvlpmnt projs. Analyze customer prod specs to estab efficient, cost-effective reqs for mfr + reproducibility ease. Train mfg + inspection personnel. Manage root-cause analysis + other prob-solving activities to id corrective actions + prcs improvs w/in mfg, mtls, eng’ring, + planning. Maintain ISO 9001 + 13485 by performing int audits + qual sys improvs. Ensure prcs ctrl + improv, test + inspection procedures controlled + followed. Collect + analyze data to improv prod qual. Comply w/ qual, occup safety + envr regs. Implement instructions of qual/envr mgmt rep + occup safety specialist. Little domestic travel may be involved. May undergo background checks. Must have Bach in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing) or rel field and 3 yrs rel quality engineering exp in a manufacturing environment. Also requires skills (3 yrs exp) in: supplier audits or surveys; working from specifications, technical manuals, and schematics; and explaining technical problems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
