Job Description SummarySenior Project Manager responsible for delivery of major projects for Services ACIS activity including Retrofit/Uprates/Transactional including any long-term services contracts. Services ACIS Senior Project Leader is responsible for service project delivery, warranty, management of project related activities and resources, profit & loss accountability and customer relations and satisfaction.
Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has some autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Delivery :

  • Perform customer order review and compare with the GE quote upon transfer of the project file from the Commercial group to Project management.

  • Lead the project kick-off meeting with all internal contributors and assign roles and responsibilities.

  • Lead the customer kick-off meeting to communicate the nature of the work that will be done and clarify any issues in the order.

  • Coordinate all activities related to the project.

  • Follow project spend vs budget (cost, materials, labor)

  • Lead and draft project follow-up meeting summaries (internal and external).

  • Follow-up on the project derogations.

  • Perform invoicing according to the contract terms.

  • Follow-up with GE procurement department on supplier deliveries 

  • Communicate and inform the customer of project progress on a regular basis.

  • Produce the project Post-Mortem analysis report.

  • Perform the administrative closing of the project.

Long Term Services Delivery :

  • Management of long-term service projects

  • Closeout of project deficiencies and Punchlist items

  • Management of warranty and all after sales services. 

  • Non-Turnkey Projects or Product/Equipment-Only Projects. 

  • Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources 

  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. 

  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. 

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required (preferred specialization in electrical, mechanical or a related engineering discipline)

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, with proven project management experience relevant to the role 

  • 25% - 30% travel local and international based on the business needs

  • Proficiency Spoken & Written - English

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP, Salesforce and MS Project

  • Proficiency Spoken & Written - French

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

  • Team player & good communication skills.

  • Customer oriented.

  • Pragmatic, results and quality oriented. 

  • EHS focused.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
