----------------------------------------------------------------Let’s Talk About the RoleAs Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex aftermarket projects within our Power Services organisation, acting as GE Vernova’s principal representative and the customer’s main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
The projects will typically involve Conversions, Modifications and Upgrades (CM&Us), rehabilitation or relocation activities on existing brownfield power-generation sites. They may cover industrial heavy-duty and aero-derivative gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, Heat Recovery Steam Generators and associated balance-of-plant equipment.
You will take ownership of project execution, bringing together engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, planning and site teams to deliver safely, contractually and profitably. These projects can require extensive design work, full technical integration and, in some cases, the introduction of new products or solutions. Strong scope, change, cost and design control will therefore be essential.
Depending on their size and complexity, you may manage several projects concurrently in a fast-paced, highly visible international environment.
----------------------------------------------------------------How You Will Make a Difference- Leading the execution of complex conversion, modification, upgrade, rehabilitation and relocation projects, ensuring that contractual, cost, schedule, quality and EHS commitments are achieved.
- Acting as GE Vernova’s principal representative and focal point for the customer, building trusted relationships and driving the resolution of customer issues.
- Supporting the offer and tendering phase by contributing execution experience, identifying gaps and helping to ensure that the proposed fulfilment strategy is practical and robust.
- Defining and implementing the project execution strategy, challenging assumptions and ensuring that projects are set up for successful delivery.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, planning and site execution.
- Driving project schedules in partnership with project planners, maintaining visibility of milestones, dependencies and recovery actions.
- Managing project financial performance, including cost, forecasts, margin, invoicing, receivables and risk provisions.
- Interpreting and applying contractual terms and conditions throughout project execution.
- Managing project scope, changes, risks, opportunities and claims, escalating matters when necessary while maintaining ownership of the resolution.
- Providing clear project-status updates and leading project reviews with customers, regional teams, the PMO and senior management.
- Capturing and sharing lessons learned, best practices and Cost of Poor Quality cases to improve future project delivery.
- Following the relevant Power Services and CM&U project-management processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20%, predominantly within Europe.
- Ability to work effectively across different countries, cultures and time zones.

Skills for SuccessYou will be an experienced project leader with a strong record of delivering complex, customer-facing projects within power generation, energy services or a closely related technical environment.
You will bring:
- Substantial experience managing complex, large-scale turnkey or service projects, ideally within power generation.
- Experience delivering projects involving upgrades, conversions, modifications, rehabilitation, outages or comparable brownfield activities.
- Sufficient technical understanding to work effectively with engineering teams and understand the equipment and solutions being delivered at customer sites.
- Strong customer-management skills and the confidence to resolve complex issues and escalations.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and international teams across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and site execution.
- Understanding of project financials, including cost, margin, forecasting, invoicing and cash.
- Experience interpreting and applying contracts, managing scope changes and supporting claims or commercial negotiations.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage several active priorities and maintain momentum in a demanding environment.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and lead matrix teams without relying on direct authority.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to build effective relationships across an international organisation.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and sharing lessons learned.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or another relevant technical or business-related discipline.
- PMP, PMLP or another recognised project-management qualification is preferred.
- Strong candidates who do not currently hold the required project-management certification may be supported in obtaining it within an agreed period following appointment.
- Willingness to complete the ongoing training and recertification required to maintain the appropriate PMO Project Manager qualification status.
This is a permanent position with the United Kingdom as the primary location. The successful candidate may alternatively be based in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland or Switzerland.
Working arrangements will depend on the selected location. Where a suitable GE Vernova office is available, a flexible hybrid arrangement can be agreed. Where there is no nearby office, home-based working may be considered.
