The Opportunity

The Sr Mgr. Program Management will provide program management leadership for complex and high-profile global drug development programs. This position is responsible for the operational efforts both internally and externally to drive the execution of the project teams. Reporting to the Head of Program Management for Therapeutic Dermatology, the Sr Mgr. Program Management will work closely with the Program Leader and cross-functional project team members to establish and maintain project plans and budgets, organize and lead project team meetings, foster communication and coordinate between functional groups across clinical, regulatory, quality, MS&T, medical, and commercial areas. This position will be responsible for ensuring adequate resourcing to meet goals, identifying risks/mitigations, and providing project status updates to ensure that the project teams achieve key strategic objectives and ultimately succeed in delivering breakthrough therapies to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project and program‑level support by preparing decision frameworks, scenario analyses, and recommendations for Program Leadership and senior management, enabling timely and informed decision‑making

  • Oversee and manage the effective coordination and facilitation of cross-functional team meetings or workshops from a program management perspective. Ensure team meetings have prepared agendas, allotted adequate time for presenters to prepare, and completed timely composition and issuance of meeting summaries/minutes.

  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise program status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations for senior leadership, steering committees, and executive forums

  • Develop and manage global, integrated cross-functional plans by:

    • Identifying key deliverables for each function

    • Understanding and outlining inter-dependencies

    • Ensuring cross-functional alignment and accountability

    • Build project level budget and resource plan

    • Monitoring progress and adherence to timelines

    • Identifying project risk and issues and facilitating resolution

  • Provide consolidated project and program budget oversight, including proactive identification of budget risks and mitigation strategies

  • Support investment and resourcing decisions by assessing cost, risk, and timeline trade‑offs and presenting options to management

  • Proactively identify constraints, risks, and conflicts that could impact the project schedule and work with team members and management to develop appropriate solutions.

  • Coordinate activities with external business partners, where applicable; contribute to achieving partnership contract deliverables

  • Contribute to team effectiveness; facilitate resolution of team dynamic issues

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business or related field, required

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or related industry

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a drug development Project Management role either supporting a Development function (e.g. Clinical Operations or Regulatory Affairs) or Clinical Development Project sub-teams

  • Drug Development knowledge with a good understanding of other functions relevant to the position which may include: Research, Pre-Clinical, Clinical, Manufacturing & Operations, Commercial, and Regulatory

  • Medical device knowledge is highly desirable

  • Experience with NDA/BLA/MAA filings highly desirable

  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills

  • Ability to distinguish proper balance between strategic and tactical thinking

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels, including senior management

  • Self-motivated, comfortable in fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively present information

  • Demonstrates creativity and foresight in anticipating and solving complex project issues

  • Self-directed, process oriented and able to work well in a team environment

  • Hands-on expertise with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Planisware, etc.)

  • Good understanding of financial and resource planning

  • PMP certification desirable

  • Fluent in English

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to perform standard office activities, including extended periods of computer use, participation in virtual and in-person meetings, and collaboration across teams. Compensation

The target base salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000 per year. This range reflects the anticipated compensation for the role. Where pay falls withing the range may vary based on many factors, including, but not limited to, job responsibilities, skills, experience, education, certifications, location and applicable geographic pay zones, market conditions, internal equity and business considerations. Compensation decisions are made based on an assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and the totality of relevant factors.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an annual short-term incentive program, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
